Halloween
Well the kiddos had so much fun this Halloween. Christian was Iron Man and Kaylin was
Sleeping Beauty. We went to the Church carnival and trick or treated in our Neighborhood. Every year is so fun with my kids. It is so cute how they truly take on the personality of the costume they have on! Kaylin was so busy trying to shove as much candy in her mouth that she could that I had a hard time getting her to participate in the games. (She must have learned that from her mother)

Christian at the pumpkin patch
Christian went with his class to the pumpkin patch and they had a ball! He jumped in bouncers, climbed to the top of hay mountains, rode cow trains, rode hay rides out to the pumpkin patch and picked out a pumpkin. The man who drove us to the patch let the kids out and said ready, set, go! Christian thought it must be a competition so instead of carefully picking one out, he took off sprinting to the first pumpkin he came to about six feet away, ripped it off of the vine and proudly took it to the farmer to show his "kill!" It was too funny. All the other kids took about 10 minutes to pick one out, but Christian sat in the trailer with a huge smile on his face knowing he truly was the "winner" of the pumpkin picking event!

Loving School, Loving to Learn
Christian had Community Helper Day at school and was a firefighter. He says that is what he wants to be when he grows up. Now Kaylin has decided that is what she wants to be too. She gets a very tough girl expression and says, "I'm a strong girl, I'm going to be a firefighter girl."
Christian read his first word the other night. I was so proud. He has already started learning how to sound out words. The first time he realized he read, he said it out loud and just busted out in a belly laugh and a shocked expression.
Kaylin's favorite thing to do is sit and read. I think she could sit all day if I let her. She has memorized all her favorite stories. We had one of her little friends over and she sat and read to her all the books she had memorized just like she was reading every word. The little girl, Nelli sat and listened to Kaylin like Kaylin was her school teacher.

Miracle from my hometown
I had a friend in my mom's group who's husband is a doctor from here and went on a Missions trip to Guatemala to help city's who had not seen a doctor in 2 yrs. A neurological doctor that had recently accepted Christ felt God was calling him to serve in Guatemala, which was surprising to him because he was #1, not the normal family doctor that goes on these trips and #2 had not been a Christian for very long. So the doctor went making jokes to the other family doctors that "If someone has seizures line up in my line," knowing his family practice skills were a bit rusty.
They went to a town that had not seen a doctor in over 2 yrs. A little boy who had seizures was brought to the doctor when the doctor noticed calluses on the boys knees. The doctor wanted to find out if the boy was being abused so he asked for a translator to ask if the boy had been scrubbing floors. The boy said no, "I have been on my knees for 4 years praying that God would send the healer of seizures to my town. It has caused these calluses on my knees, but I knew that God would send the healer if I would just pray for it."
Before the doctor had left my home town someone sent him with 6 months supply of a new drug that does not have to be monitored or have extreme side effects to take away seizures. The doctor gave the boy the medicine and will be able to supply it to him the rest of his life.
What amazing faith this boy had that ministered to me countries away in a town I had not ever even heard of. Don't let the odds, the statistics, or any fact put a box on the power of the God who holds all in His hands. He may just be in the making of a true miracle!

Kids go back to School
Well, I cannot believe I already have 2 in Preschool. This came up so fast. These two love school. Kaylin has already gotten a prize for good behavior. Christian is all about the buddies and the songs he gets to sing at school. Kaylin is all about the teacher and her crafts she gets to make. Praise God that they both got wonderful teachers.
I have started back to school to be a school teacher when Kaylin goes to Kindergarten. I plan to teach 4-8. I just feel this is where God is leading me and am already loving the journey getting there.
God is really blessing our family and the kids are at such a fun age. I can't wait to see what He has in store for us
John just got back from an Antelope hunt and got a big one, so he has come back a very happy daddy. I am just estatic to have another animal head on the wall:)
